Her passion for fencing began in college, where she competed in both local and national tournaments. She later served for three years on the Northern California United States Fencing Board of Directors as Vice Chair. During this time, she taught beginner fencing classes and served as an assistant coach at Coastside Academy of Fencing in San Francisco.
After relocating to Colorado, she joined the Fencing Academy of Denver, where she currently serves as Head Coach at the Loveland Club and Assistant Coach in Longmont.
